NIGERIA IN PROPHECY

During my undergraduate years as a member of the Christian Union (CU), University of Benin from 1983 to 1987, I became privy to several Prophecies about God's Purpose for Nigeria. It was in CU that I first heard that Nigeria was Africa's Trigger. It was only recently that I learnt from one of my spiritual mentors (Bro. Oluyemi Esan Issachar) that the often-quoted statement was actually part of a Prophecy given by Pa S. G. Elton of blessed memory. He was said to have spoken the Word in 1983 during a Conference in Limuru, Kenya. 

Let me paraphrase what Pa Elton was reported to have said: Africa is like a hand-gun turned downwards; Nigeria is the Trigger and South Africa is the Nozzle. He said that Africa's Rising would begin when what was then blocking the Nozzle is removed (APARTHEID IN SOUTH AFRICA).

Brethren, we know how God can pass over a generation if they are unwilling to cooperate with Him to achieve His Purpose. May we, like David, serve our generation according to the Will of God. Amen.

Obadiah 21 has become my favourite Scripture: "And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord's". [King James Version].

Someone said that the passage is a "Millennial Scripture" which would only be fulfilled when Jesus returns to earth and establishes His Kingdom reigning for 1,000 years. Maybe. But that Scripture is the reason why I am running for office to become the Senator representing the good people of Edo Central Senatorial District (Esanland) in 2015......if Jesus tarries and as God makes the Way.

It is time that Saviours, "Messiahs", Deliverers, Transformers, Nation-Builders, Repairers of the Breach, arise in Zion. Thank God for your life; your business; your job; your spouse; your children; your ministry; your Church; your house(s); your fame; your money; your dreams; your aspirations etc. But the Walls of Nigeria are fallen. How can you live in your "ceiled houses" at such a time as this? Why do you think BAD TREES will bring forth GOOD FRUIT as you stand aloof "praying" for God to raise leaders to salvage Nigeria? Of course, we must pray. What could we do without prayer? But prayer is not enough.

Peter asked Jesus concerning John: "What shall this man do?" And I ask you: What shall this man [YOU] do?
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN THE JUDGMENT OF THE EDOMITES IN NIGERIA?
In the 1970s and 1980s, most Christians were deceived by satan into thinking God only wanted His Children saved, living holy and getting unbelievers saved while waiting to for the Rapture......in penury. In those days, it was rare to find Christians occupying any senior management position in the corporate world. Hardly any born-again Christian lived in Ikoyi, Victoria Island, "Government Reserved Areas" or such neighbourhoods considered as "highbrow" around the country. So we hard no Pentecostal Churches in such places! I still recall my fascination when a Christian sister (then called Bisola Andu) invited me to speak at a meeting of the Evangelism Team of her Church in 1994 in IKOYI. LOL!  I was excited that a Pentecostal Church was located in Ikoyi: Guiding Light Assembly. That was when I met Pastor Wale Adefarasin for the first time.
Things have changed for the Nigerian Church since then. Our Cathedrals are world-class now. Building Churches, owning houses and living in Banana Island, Ikoyi, Victoria Garden City, Lekki Phase One, Ikeja GRA, Maitama, Asokoro etc. are no more a big deal for believers. Well, praise God! We were delivered from a Poverty Mindset. In fact, the problemtoday is that many Christians now cannot tell the difference between True Kingdom Prosperity and MAMMON!
Just as satan locked out Christians from the market place in the past so he has done todayin the political sphere. Most Christians today still consider politics as "dirty", "corrupt", and "corrupting". So we pray that God would give us good governance with our "bad" leaders. We allow the campus cultists, thugs, dropouts, occultists, satanists, freemasons, paedophile, homosexuals, robbers, stammers, 419ners etc. to rule us. They are in our Legislative Assemblies. They are in the Executive arm of Government at all levels. And we are praying for them.
I learnt a new English word sometime ago: KAKISTOCRACY. Kakistocracy is the GOVERNMENT OF THE WORST OF THE PEOPLE.
I used to believe, like many Nigerians do, that the bane of our polity is Corruption and the lack of the Rule of Law. I know better now. Our problem is KAKISTOCRACY. Princes are walking while beggars are riding on horses. The tail is wagging the dog. The cart is trying to pull the horse! The worst among us are the ones "leading" us!! And this is nor just about seeking an elective office. It is about engaging politically as the LORD would reveal (or has revealed) to you.
What will this man (woman) do in 2015? What will YOU do in 2019, 2023, 2027? .......If Jesus tarries His Coming.
Why sit we here until we die?
WILL YOU NOT ARISE AND GO IN THIS YOUR MIGHT?
